8/28/2009 12:00:00 AM - Heads up, everyone. Whoever has already registered for the event via the Event Site can now log in using their account details and use the newly-activated "Download Registration Card" option to print out a small personalized barcode card. It is by no means compulsory (so don’t fret if you forget, or can’t be bothered to do it), but it will certainly speed up your on-site registration significantly.

8/18/2009 12:00:01 AM - Ladies and gentlemen, anyone still looking to book a room, please note that we will be unable to guarantee availability and the prices quoted on the event website past the 25th of August. So, anyone who is planning to visit and has yet to book a room, please contact Mr. Trachiotis BEFORE the 25th of August. The venue’s room availability is already severely limited.

Event Schedule
Below follows the schedule for the Event. You may also download it in PDF format
here. We will be opening the hall around
17:00 on Thursday (3rd September 2009) evening, as most players will be arriving
on that day. We thought we'd hold an informal "meet & greet" at the venue and
spice it up with some great AEG board-games! Additionally, we'll be opening the
registration on Thursday as well, so that all you early birds will be spared the
early start on the following day. At some point around 23:00 and if the people
present are up for it, we'll organize something for the night (a late dinner, a
short drink, or something to that effect).
On Friday, the Tournament proper begins. Registration will be open 09:00 sharp,
and will be finished by 11:00 at the latest. We suggest you register as early as
possible, because we've also got an opening ceremony planned for 10:00.
following that, we'll be holding the first Main Event Qualifier, while
pre-seeded players will have a chance to compete against each other in a special
tournament of their own. The second Qualifier will start at 16:00, while draft
pods will also be put together later on.
Saturday will be a full day as well, with the Main Event going at full swing.
Paraellel to the Main Event, we'll also be holding our annual signature event,
the Mouzaka Tournament. Although this year it's just a side-event to the Big
Thing, it's going to interesting, fun and competitive as always, so if you fail
to qualify for the Main Event, we suggest you try your hand at beating the
champions of Grekugan. ;)
Saturday night will also see the lower conference hall being transformed into a
party venue, with rocking music, light effects and free beer, wine and soft
drinks - the cost of the party is included in the registration fee.
Sunday will dawn with the all-important event finals, as well as a smattering of
other activities, both gaming-related, such as Challenge Booth, Draft, Legacy,
board games and the like, and non-gaming related activities that we are
organizing in cooperation with local Japanese clubs and societies..
Note: Additional "special" activities such as tea ceremonies, calligraphy
workshops and whatever else we settle on may be taking place throughout the
three days and will be announced on the spot through the projectors and the
announcements board.
