8/28/2009 12:00:00 AM - Heads up, everyone. Whoever has already registered for the event via the Event Site can now log in using their account details and use the newly-activated "Download Registration Card" option to print out a small personalized barcode card. It is by no means compulsory (so don’t fret if you forget, or can’t be bothered to do it), but it will certainly speed up your on-site registration significantly.

So, anyone who is planning to visit and has yet to book a room, please contact Mr. Trachiotis BEFORE the 25th of August. The venue’s room availability is already severely limited.

Still, you can see the titles, and just key, juicy bits. We already know exactly what the prize for the main and secondary events will be, but we caaaan't teeeeell you yeeeet. ;)

When you register, the system automatically twits about it through our L5R2009 Twitter account, including some registration statistics (such as total numbe of players already registered, clan breakdown etc). Unless you have specified otherwise, the information twitted about your registration is completely anonymous.

Greetings all! With the exciting changes brought upon the Empire near the end of Samurai Edition, a new storm is on the horizon. Don't miss out
on your chance to make an impact on the first major events that will define the Celestial Era!
With out further ado, we present you the EC 2009 storyline, prizes, rules and further information.
How much
Before we proceed with the happy stuff, let's dispense with the formalities. The registration fee for the whole event is going to be 50 euros, this covers the
attendance fee for main event, the mouzaka tournament and any other side event you feel like participating, including drafts (while supplies last). There will be no additional fees
for the saturday party.
Deck Construction Rules
Both the main event and the European Championship will be run using the latest copy of the L5R Floor Rules, in the 40/40 constructed Celestial Format.
A complete list of legal promos will be posted here shortly, once we verify things with the powers that be. Until then, please consult the relevant section of the official AEG forums.

Main Event Storyline Prize: Seeking the Daughter
With a war raging in the south and the north still rebuilding in the aftermath of the War of Dark Fire, the Empire of
Rokugan can ill afford any other crises. And yet, amid the horror of war, a threat potentially even greater has presented itself: plague.
Seeking the truth behind this new plague, agents of the Emerald and Jade Champions have discovered rumors of a new enemy, an individual
called the Ebon Daughter. This individual moves across the Empire seemingly without limitation, appearing at random across the face of
Rokugan. Wherever she appears, the plague soon follows, and the Empress desires her to be detained, that this threat might be abated.
The winner of this tournament will determine the clan that will be tasked by the Empress to hunt down and apprehend the Ebon Daughter.
It will not be a simple task, as the throne dare not risk exposing her existence to the Empire at large, and in the hunt, the clan
bringing her to justice will likely be at odds with other clans. Still, it is a duty bestowed by the Divine Empress, and no clan will permit
hardship to prevent its completion.
Secondary Event Storyline Prize: A Hero among Heroes
With the attack on the Great Carpenter Wall surpassing all history of such events, the united forces of the Crab,
Lion, and Unicorn have had little choice but to gradually fall back, sacrificing portions of the Wall and the greater Crab provinces
in order to prevent being completely overrun. As the Empire’s new enemy advances, however, the opportunity to breach their widening
front lines and gain some insight into the nature of the threat they pose becomes greater with each passing day. And now a group of
heroes shall breach the lines and discover the sinister, horrible truth behind these Destroyers that plague the Empire.
The winner of this tournament shall determine the clan affiliation of the samurai who will lead the incursion behind enemy lines
in order to discover the truth. This individual shall be responsible for combating the threat and returning to the Empire to personally
brief the Empress on the nature of that which threatens Rokugan.
But that's not all! Apart from the main storyline prizes, don't miss out on the opportunity
to leave your mark on the ongoing saga of Rogukan in side contests, feature matches and other
special events that will appear throughout the days of the championship.
